This VTCT Level 3 B14 Provide Facial Electrics unit is about improving face and skin condition using direct/indirect high frequency, galvanic, EMS, micro-current, lymphatic drainage and micro-dermabrasion equipment. It covers the skills involved in providing a thorough consultation with the client to formulate a specific course of treatment tailored to individual client needs. The ability to provide relevant aftercare advice is also required. To carry out this unit you will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene throughout your work. You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client.

This 4 day facial electrics course covers all of the fundamental facial electric treatments.

These are treatments you will need to know if you are starting out as a skincare specialist. A facial electric treatment can postpone early signs of ageing, improve the appearance of the skin and erase minor sun damage, scarring and pigmentation.

What will I learn on this course?

Much of the Level 3 Facial Electrics Course qualification is completed as home-study, making this an ideal route for those who wish to study flexibly around other commitments. The practical training days required for the course will run from 9.30am – 3.30pm. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the training days acquiring and demonstrating your practical skills.

Assessment is continuous and consists of practical assessments, oral questions, tests and written assignments and test. You will provide evidence to determine whether you have reached a level of competence. The collation of the assessments will be contained in a portfolio, which will contain all document feedback sheets, written assessment/projects/assignments.

You will also study:

  • The knowledge to maintain safe and effective methods of working when providing facial electrical treatment.
  • Understand organisational and legal requirements for providing facial electrical treatments
  • Understand how to perform client consultation, treatment planning and preparation
  • Understand the contra-indications and contra-actions that affect or restrict facial electrical treatments
  • Understand how to provide aftercare advice
  • Skin analysis – treating a range of skin concerns
  • Skin conditions and skin types
  • Understand anatomy and physiology that relates to facial electrical treatments

Qualification

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will receive The  VTCT Level 3 Provide Facial Electric Unit B14.
